🇨🇳 Unitree IPO Tests Robotics Demand
China’s humanoid robot maker Unitree is preparing an IPO that will gauge investor appetite for the country’s AI robotics sector, after DeepSeek invested 141 million yuan and agreed to co-develop AI models and embodied-intelligence technology. The planned listing puts Unitree at the center of a fast-expanding push to combine robotics hardware with domestic AI capabilities.
The deal links a Chinese robotics manufacturer with a high-profile AI backer at a time when companies in China are moving to commercialise embodied AI and test public-market financing channels. It also reflects broader capital-market interest in mainland tech listings tied to strategic sectors including robotics, AI models and industrial automation.
The IPO will serve as a near-term indicator of whether domestic investors are willing to fund China’s next phase of AI-driven hardware scaling.
