BDO wasn't born as BDO.
In 1963, independent accounting firms from the UK, Germany, the Netherlands, the USA, and Canada came together to form the Binder Seidman International Group.
Their goal was simple:
To share knowledge and better serve clients with cross-border operations.
Ten years later, in 1973, the network adopted a common global identity.
The name came from three of the founding firms:
Binder Hamlyn (UK)
Dijker & Co. (Netherlands)
Otte & Co. (Germany)
Together, they became...
BDO.
Today, most professionals don't think about the full form.
They simply know it as BDO.
That's what great branding does.
A name begins as an identity.
Over time, it becomes a reputation.
