Открыть канал и посмотреть медиаThe bad weather that hit Cyprus today has caused changes to airline schedules. Several aircraft were unable to land at Larnaca Airport and were diverted to other airports. An Air Astana aircraft from Astana, after circling over Larnaca, eventually flew to Crete, while an Aegean aircraft from Athens was diverted to Rhodes. A Qatar Airways aircraft from Doha headed to Athens, while two Cyprus Airways aircraft — one from Athens and the other from Skiathos — were diverted to Beirut. An EasyJet aircraft operating a flight from Amsterdam to Larnaca flew to the island of Kos. A Wizz Air aircraft from Budapest was also unable to land in Larnaca and headed to Paphos. Ryanair from Poznań and British Airways from London were also diverted to Paphos instead of Larnaca. In addition, according to the flight information boards at both Cypriot airports, a significant number of flights are arriving with delays. By the way, we are currently testing the @CyprusFlightDelays_bot, which monitors the online flight information boards at Larnaca and Paphos airports, as well as Yerevan. The bot notifies users about changes to flight statuses. The bot is still operating in test mode and relays information from airport flight boards, so we recommend double-checking important details with the airline. Русский | Ελληνικά | Instagram

Открыть канал и посмотреть медиаWizz Air has changed its hand luggage rules. The airline has clarified its policy: a neck pillow is no longer considered a separate free item that you can take on board even with the basic fare. Previously, there was no such clause in the rules, and Wizz Air itself confirmed that a small travel pillow could be carried separately. So, if you are travelling with a small backpack and have a pillow around your neck, you may be asked at the gate to put it inside your bag. If it does not fit - you may be required to pay an extra fee. Русский | Ελληνικά | Instagram
Открыть канал и посмотреть медиаThis happens with FlyOne too. Today, 22 August, a FlyOne flight from Moscow to Yerevan was due to depart at 01:40, but was delayed by more than 8 hours. Unfortunately, delays with FlyOne have not been uncommon lately, but today’s situation went beyond an ordinary delay. Passengers (around 15 people) who were flying from Moscow to Larnaca via Yerevan and were waiting to board were taken off the flight at the last minute, and their tickets were rebooked onto other flights, moving their departure by one or two days - without prior notice. FlyOne representatives did not tell the passengers the reason for this decision. Русский | Ελληνικά | Instagram

Открыть канал и посмотреть медиаRecently, FlyOne passengers have been facing last-minute schedule changes: the departure date and time may change, as well as the arrival airport. For example, today some passengers on the evening Yerevan-Moscow flight were moved to a flight with a wait of more than 30 hours before departure, while some also had their arrival airport changed. Passengers also note that information about changes is not always provided promptly. If you have a booking for a FlyOne flight, we recommend checking your booking status and any possible changes yourself from time to time. Русский | Ελληνικά | Instagram
Открыть канал и посмотреть медиаFlyOne flight 3F877 from Yerevan to Larnaca on 15 August was delayed by almost 11 hours. The aircraft was due to depart Armenia at 16:45, but actually took off on 16 August at 03:17. As a result, the return flight 3F878 from Larnaca to Yerevan was also delayed. According to the schedule, the aircraft was due to depart on 15 August at 18:40, but actually took off only on 16 August at 05:51. The delay therefore amounted to 11 hours and 11 minutes. Judging by Flightradar24 data, passengers who were travelling onwards from Yerevan, for example to Moscow, were not waited for. Flights from Yerevan to Moscow departed almost on schedule. A reminder that AirHelp and Compensair do not accept claims for delays on FlyOne flights, while the airline itself, as a rule, does not respond to such complaints submitted directly. You can submit a complaint to the Cyprus Department of Civil Aviation here. Русский | Ελληνικά | Instagram
