The mind loves to get high. The mind loves to get low. The mind hates to be bored. The mind thinks peace is boring. If you let the mind run your life you’ll have many highs and many lows and very little peace. Most people let their mind run their life by default. They are unconscious reactors, daily getting sucked in by the latest and loudest. If the mind says panic, you panic. If mind says cry, you cry. If the mind says feel embarrassed, you feel embarrassed. Robotic, mechanical, option-less. Like one of those vintage cars running on tracks at the amusement park. You ride the rails of mechanical thinking, feeling, reacting. You aren’t choosing consciously. Most people stay in this mode for their whole life. They assume they are autonomous and in control like the child at the fake steering wheel in the fake car. But they are as unfree as can be. The ones who wake up are the ones who become aware of the tracks they are on. They notice how they don’t have a choice about how they feel and react. They notice when their attention and emotions are pulled in certain directions. They get curious about the mechanical mind and start learning how to escape the death grip of sameness. They stop falling for the same old traps and gimmicks the mind uses to suck them in. They recognize that the endless “self healing work” they’ve been doing has been yet another ride at the mental amusement park. They approach everything with a different spirit. They let Awareness take over. If you’ve been stuck on the tracks and you’re sick and tired of the mental amusement park I have an exit strategy to offer you… Awareness School. It is this path that has brought me from insanity to sanity, from self-deception to self-honesty, from addiction to disharmony to an ability to tolerate peace. This path is ongoing. The mind still invites me back to insanity land daily. It takes mental discipline to stay the path of peace . That’s why I’m just as excited to start Awareness School this Thursday as you could be! 10 weeks of devotion to getting off the tracks and walking a new path. It’s worth your time, energy, and investment. See some of you there! Ссылка скрыта
