👥 How did Bukyaye villagers live before the well was built? 💦
The people of Bukyaye village in Uganda lived in harsh conditions. Before we joined with One Home Mission Foundation, sponsored by Uno Farm, to build a well, they had to get water from muddy puddles and rivers. The only source of clean water was a few kilometers away from the village and they had to carry heavy jerry cans of water on their shoulders. This was done by both children and women. 👩🏾🦱👶🏾
The lack of available clean water led to serious health problems. But the construction of the well has changed the lives of the people of Bukiye. Now they can drink clean water, cook food and wash clothes without fear of getting sick. 👐
