“I’m so lonely that I’ve become friends with a cockroach,” said Japanese Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi.
The cockroach became an unexpected “companion” to the prime minister during her long hours of work. Takaichi chose not to kill it, speculating that the insect might be someone’s reincarnation, she said.
When staff members finally removed the cockroach, the prime minister admitted that she felt “a little lonely.”
