Dubai has a new record holder—the world's longest cantilever structure! Japanese company Nikken Sekkei presented the project One Zaabeel. Between two towers, 235m and 305m high, a 66m cantilever called The Link hangs at 100m height, featuring a pool and a viewing platform with a view of the Burj Khalifa.
Interesting fact: Building such a cantilever was a true engineering challenge. Unique steel cables and balancing systems were used to support the 'hanging' part, capable of withstanding not only its own weight but also wind gusts and seismic activity.
