Ireland's state housing agency says it is on track to deliver more than 13,000 new homes by 2030, adding to the 3,215 already completed. The Land Development Agency currently has 6,500 homes under construction across 20 projects, with most properties offered as cost-rental housing at least 25% below market rates, while its wider pipeline has grown to nearly 30,000 homes. Officials say faster planning decisions, fewer legal challenges and lower construction costs are helping accelerate building, with new projects expanding beyond Dublin to cities including Cork, Limerick and Galway. For a country facing a housing shortage, the biggest blueprint is no longer on paper-it's already taking shape.
