Earlier this year, Dan Bishop, the U.S. Attorney for the Middle District of North Carolina and one of at least two U.S. Attorneys empowered by the Attorney General to conduct the probe, sought the contact information and job descriptions of hundreds of people (possibly more than a thousand) who worked for, contracted with, or volunteered for Fulton County in the 2020 election. Fulton County fought the subpoena and won. A district judge quashed it last month. (See this post- Ссылка скрыта ) Bishop has now filed an appeal with the 11th Circuit. I do not expect the appeal to work, by the way. The better course is probably to seek a new subpoena that is much narrower in scope and grounded in the same probable cause that the other U.S. Attorney working this probe, Missouri U.S. Attorney Thomas Albus, successfully used to obtain search warrants for Fulton County’s warehouse.
