Myasnitskaya street in Moscow 💛
Myasnitskaya Street got its name from the butchers' settlement with "Zhivotinny Dvor" , the Meat Market and the Sovereign's Fighting Yard, which was located here in the 16th-17th centuries.
Peter the Great loved Myasnitskaya, as the road to German Sloboda (Lefortovo) followed it. Therefore, representatives of noble families settled here, and banks were opened in the 19th century.
There are many old estates on the Myasnitskaya. Here you can still see such monuments of architecture as the Tea House, the Chertkov estate and, of course, the house of three composers.
Myasnitskaya Street is one of the most important streets in the capital. The atmosphere of the city's intelligentsia reigns here.
