The Management Task everyone should know
The management task is to track these attempts and prevent quality degradation. The freed-up time is redistributed.
• In a messenger aggregator with a 10-person sales team: a salesperson saves time by skipping one of ten actions (qualifying question, CRM), the client may end up in the wrong segment and miss an upsell opportunity.
• A product researcher can check 8 out of 10 competitors, claiming there are none left, when there actually are.
• A mobile developer submits a build based on visual estimation rather than the design.
All of this is fixable, but if it becomes a culture — the product degrades. Without oversight, the company also degrades.
