Brazil is the world's fifth-largest country by geography, the seventh-largest by population, and the most urbanised nation among the ten most populous countries on the planet.
Around 1940, Brazil had already reached an urbanisation rate of 32%, the level India reached in 2011 (31.16 percent); by 2025, Brazil's urbanisation had climbed to nearly 90 percent.
