PYM DMV - Palestinian events

This is the third Easter in Gaza observed under ongoing U.S.-Zionist genocide. Israel has obstructed access to the Church of the Holy Sepulchre, considered the holiest site in Christianity as it is identified to be the place of Jesus’s crucifixion, burial, and resurrection. In Southern Lebanon, Israeli airstrikes have destroyed some of the oldest churches in Christian history and have assassinated faith leaders. From Taybeh, West Bank to Alma Al-Shaab, Southern Lebanon, Israel seeks to ethnically cleanse thousands from lands belonging to the oldest Christian communities in the region. This Easter, we re-affirm our demand for the VRS to divest from the supply chain of weapons arming the Zionist-imperialist war against the Palestinian, Lebanese, and Iranian peoples for resisting a brutal empire in the name of justice and dignity—as Jesus teaches all his followers to do. vrsdivest.org

The VRS Divest campaign wishes a blessed Easter to all who celebrate.

The VRS held its Annual Board of Trustees meeting last week. On the speaker list was General David Petraeus, notorious commander of forever wars in the Middle East. Thousands have called on the VRS Board of Trustees to divest from weapons manufacturers, not to deepen its ties with the military-industrial complex. This invitation comes in the midst of yet another an escalating endless war in the Middle East. We refuse to stand by as the ruling elite attempt to repeat the playbook of the early 2000s. We reject our pensions and tax dollars being used to beat the drums of war. Join the arms embargo. vrsdivest.org
