Title: Data Scientist (Demand Forecasting & Pricing Optimization)
Salary: 4000$ gross
Job description:
We’re looking for a Data Scientist to scale demand forecasting and build a pricing optimization engine from scratch (relokation to Kuala Lumpur)
What you’ll do:
— Demand Forecasting: scale and automate forecasting systems for different store patterns, test segmented models
— Product Expansion: extend forecasting from “bake-sheets” to “fresh” (new patterns + longer lead times)
— Price Optimization: design and build a pricing strategy & pricing engine end-to-end, run tests and measure impact
— Evaluate models rigorously (confidence intervals, hypothesis testing, quantitative validation)
— Build and improve ML models end-to-end (feature engineering, model selection, optimization/loss functions)
— Work with modern ML frameworks (Scikit-learn, XGBoost, TensorFlow/PyTorch) and iterate on performance
— Write clean, scalable code and work confidently with existing codebases
— Communicate insights in business terms (financial impact); strong technical conclusions are highly valued
Requirements:
✔️ Strong Mathematics & Statistics (CIs, hypothesis testing, robust model evaluation)
✔️ Solid end-to-end ML experience (feature engineering, model choice, optimization principles)
✔️ Strong coding skills (clean, maintainable code; comfortable in existing codebases)
✔️ AWS SageMaker experience is a strong plus (deployment experience not required)
✔️ Ability to connect data insights to business impact (monetary terms)
