AI Application Engineer
Full-time/Company: Recall Labs
We are on a mission to responsibly accelerate the value of information and intelligence across society. Recall Labs is pioneering decentralized skills markets and scalable AI evaluation and discovery to bring more trust, transparency, and vibrancy to AI.
Applicants should be located within GMT -8 to GMT +1 (North America, South America, Central Europe).
Responsibilities:
- Identify and prioritize 3–5 high-potential AI experiments based on recent research.
- Build and maintain experimentation infrastructure combining AI evaluations with A/B testing at scale.
- Translate research innovations into shipped product features that improve user experience and product metrics.
- Integrate AI tooling into engineering workflows to accelerate adoption across the organization.
- Establish and disseminate AI expertise, driving knowledge sharing and team capability building.
Requirements:
- Deep familiarity with AI evaluations, reasoning systems, agentic architectures, and context engineering.
- At least 5 years of engineering experience with a track record of shipping AI-powered products.
- Exceptional programming skills and AI-first development workflows.
- Experience designing experiments, A/B testing, and statistical analysis to inform product decisions.
- Working knowledge of model deployment, inference optimization, and scaling considerations.
- Proficiency integrating with multiple LLM providers (OpenAI, Anthropic, Google) and open-source models.
- Experience working in remote, fast-paced, iterative development environments.
Nice to have:
- Research curiosity balanced with product pragmatism.
- Bias toward action and prototyping new techniques.
- Strong communication skills for translating research into clear recommendations.
- Collaborative experimentation mindset.
- Comfort with ambiguity as the role and field evolve.
