Data Engineer
Company: BCB Group
BCB Group is a leading provider of regulated payment and trading services in crypto and fiat for the digital asset economy. They offer accounts, cryptocurrency and foreign exchange market liquidity, instant payments via their BLINC network, and secure crypto services, authorised in the UK, France and Switzerland.
Responsibilities:
- Integrate multiple data sources into a cloud-based data warehouse and design/implement robust ETL processes.
- Ensure data security, compliance and overall data quality in cloud environments.
- Develop and maintain data models, dashboards and visualisations for stakeholders.
- Automate business workflows using no-code / low-code tools.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate requirements, respond to data queries and deliver regulatory reports.
- Analyse data issues, identify root causes and produce high-quality, tested code to resolve them.
Requirements:
- 3+ years of experience in a data-related field.
- Advanced proficiency in SQL.
- Advanced proficiency in Google Sheets or Excel.
- Strong understanding of ETL, data ingestion, transformation and dashboard creation.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to data quality.
- Strong business acumen and ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
- Self-motivated and committed to continuous learning and performance improvement.
Nice to have:
- Experience with dbt, Looker or ThoughtSpot, and no-code/low-code tools (e.g., n8n).
- Proficiency with version control systems (git).
- Programming skills in Python, R or TypeScript.
- Experience in Payments, FinTech, Banking or Cryptocurrency.
- Familiarity with Google Cloud Platform and statistical concepts.
- Degree in Computer Science, Business, Economics, Statistics or related field.
