Data Engineer
Company: BCB Group
BCB Group is a leading provider of regulated payment and trading services in crypto and fiat for the digital asset economy. They offer accounts, cryptocurrency and foreign exchange market liquidity via a Client Console and API, and are authorised in the UK, France and Switzerland.
Responsibilities:
- Integrate multiple data sources into a cloud data warehouse and design/implement ETL processes.
- Ensure data security, compliance and governance in cloud environments.
- Develop and maintain data models, dashboards and visualisations.
- Automate business workflows using no-code/low-code tools.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to translate requirements and deliver reports and insights.
- Prepare regulatory reports and ensure timely compliance.
- Produce high-quality code with testing and enforce data quality standards.
Requirements:
- 3+ years in a data-related role.
- Advanced proficiency in SQL.
- Advanced proficiency in Google Sheets or Excel.
- Strong understanding of ETL, data ingestion, transformation and dashboard creation.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to data quality.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Self-motivated with a passion for continuous learning and performance improvement.
Nice to have:
- Experience with dbt.
- Experience with Looker or ThoughtSpot.
- Familiarity with no-code/low-code tools (e.g., n8n).
- Proficiency with git.
- Programming in Python, R or TypeScript.
- Experience in Payments, FinTech, Banking or Cryptocurrency.
- Knowledge of statistical concepts and familiarity with GCP.
- Relevant degree (Computer Science, Business, Economics, Statistics).
