Lead Engineer - Tokenization Contract / Full-time / Company: Gyld Finance Gyld Finance is building the infrastructure to bring fixed income on-chain, issuing tokenized USD corporate bonds backed 1:1 by the underlying securities held with regulated custodians and brokers. The core platform — broker and custody integrations, order execution, settlement, reconciliation and on-chain compliance — is already built and the team is approaching launch. Responsibilities: - Own and improve systems that place broker orders, process fills, settle trades and reconcile positions and cash. - Build for critical failure cases: partial fills, rejected orders, stale states, settlement breaks and reconciliation mismatches. - Work across broker, custodian, banking and crypto rails where they intersect with trading and settlement. - Ensure consistency between internal ledger, custodian positions and on-chain supply. - Own production services in a Rust-based architecture and improve reliability, observability and incident response. - Strengthen CI/CD, deployment safety, testing and database migration practices. Requirements: - Strong hands-on experience building trading, order management or execution systems. - Experience owning production systems where correctness and reliability matter. - Strong backend and systems engineering fundamentals. - Rust experience preferred; strong experience in another systems language with ability to ramp into Rust is acceptable. - Familiarity with databases, distributed systems, APIs and asynchronous/event-driven architectures. - Working knowledge of blockchain and on-chain settlement concepts. - Comfortable using AI coding agents as part of the everyday engineering workflow and able to operate autonomously. Nice to have: - Experience building execution or post-trade infrastructure at a broker, exchange, trading firm or fintech. - Operated systems that move meaningful amounts of money. - Direct experience with broker, custodian or exchange APIs. - Experience handling edge cases around orders, settlement and reconciliation. - Experience connecting traditional financial infrastructure with blockchain systems.
