Lead Engineer - Tokenization Contract / Full-time / Company: Gyld Finance Gyld Finance is building the infrastructure to bring fixed income on-chain, issuing tokenized USD corporate bonds backed 1:1 by underlying securities held with regulated custodians and brokers. The core platform (broker & custody integrations, order execution, settlement, reconciliation and on-chain compliance) is already built and approaching launch. Responsibilities: - Own and improve systems that place broker orders, process fills, settle trades and reconcile positions and cash. - Build for failure cases in financial systems: partial fills, rejected orders, stale states, settlement breaks and retries. - Operate and harden production services in a Rust-based architecture: reliability, observability, monitoring and alerting. - Strengthen CI/CD, testing, deployment safety and database migration practices. - Connect off-chain securities and cash movements with on-chain issuance, redemption and transfer controls. - Diagnose and resolve production incidents involving live orders or settlement. Requirements: - Strong hands-on experience building trading, order management or execution systems. - Proven experience owning production systems where correctness and reliability matter. - Strong backend and systems engineering fundamentals; Rust experience preferred (or strong systems language background). - Comfort with databases, distributed systems, APIs and asynchronous/event-driven architectures. - Working knowledge of blockchain and on-chain settlement concepts (deep smart-contract expertise not required). - Comfortable using AI coding agents as part of daily engineering workflow; able to join in the near term and operate autonomously. Nice to have: - Experience building execution or post-trade infrastructure at a broker, exchange, trading firm or fintech. - Operated systems that move meaningful amounts of money or worked directly with broker/custodian/exchange APIs. - Experience handling edge cases around orders, settlement and reconciliation and connecting TradFi infrastructure with blockchain systems.
