Liquidity as part of the yield
An investor often forgets that a deposit is a high-liquidity instrument, while bonds are variable. If you need money tomorrow, a deposit allows you to withdraw it with minimal loss of interest.
In bonds, you are dependent on the order book on the exchange. In an emergency, you may be forced to sell assets at a moment when the market has dipped.
