Bitwise to liquidate Dogecoin ETF on October 14
The investment manager Bitwise is shutting down its Dogecoin exchange-traded fund, BWOW, which launched in November 2025.
The fund will cease operations on the NYSE Arca exchange after less than 12 months of trading. Shareholder distributions will be based on the net asset value, which represents the total value of the fund's assets minus its liabilities.
Key liquidation details include:

▪️ Asset valuation date: October 21, 2026.
▪️ Cash payout schedule: October 22, 2026.
Unlike established crypto index funds that have secured consistent institutional inflows, this single-asset product failed to gain long-term market interest, leading to this early exit.
Niche products seldom survive when demand fails to materialize.
