A new GULF LOW arrives Friday, the first sign of it will be an explosion of storms along the SE LA coast early in the morning. This is where the forecast gets tough because multiple inches of rain will fall where these storms organize, is that on the pelicans in the marsh or does it creep into metro NOLA? We’ll see. Either way, expect storms to become more numerous early in the day over eastern LA and late in the day for western LA.

A NEW GULF WAVE - There it is, another wave entering the Gulf from Florida. Storms have blossomed this morning in association with this disturbance. It only has about 24 hours in the Gulf before running into Southeast Louisiana on Friday. That limited time should keep this from development.

HIGH CHANCE now out from the National Hurricane Center. Expect a cone to come out by morning if not later tonight and Tropical Storm Watches/Warnings will go up for SW LA into SE TX. Keep a close eye on this.

EDOUARD POSSIBLE - The National Hurricane Center continues to increase odds of development off our coast. A short-lived tropical storm is possible before this moves inland into SW LA/SE TX on Tuesday. The next name is Edouard.

Heat dome still over us on the eastern edge brining higher than average heat. Highs stay in the 94-96°. High humidity makes it feel like the 106-112°. The only relief is a spotty shower or storm. I don't see many changes over the next 5-7 days.

Invest 92L has been designated for the wave halfway between Africa and the Caribbean. Our first spaghetti models show the track forecast is pretty simple, west to west-northwest towards the Caribbean. The past few weeks I’ve told you just how bad the Caribbean is for tropical systems so if this ever makes it there, dissipation is likely. The next name is Cristobal.
