The US and Iran exchanged conflicting claims over the Strait of Hormuz, with Trump asserting US dominance over the waterway while Iranian authorities rejected the claim. Meanwhile, US CPI inflation eased to 3.4% in July from 3.5% in June, in line with expectations. The softer reading prompted traders to scale back bets on a near-term Fed hike, with the CME FedWatch Tool showing September hike odds falling to 37%–40% from around 54% a week earlier. Money Flow Index indicates that One97 Communications is in the overbought zone. Bharat Heavy Electricals enters a partnership with Norway's Hystar AS to jointly develop and sell proton exchange membrane electrolyser systems in India. The systems are used to produce green hydrogen by splitting water into hydrogen and oxygen using renewable electricity. Minda Corp touches its all-time high of Rs 758.7 as its Q1FY27 net profit soars 3.2x YoY to Rs 206 crore, fueled by lower finance costs, higher share of premium products and one time gains from insurance claim and incorporation of a joint venture.
