🧬 A huge milestone for cancer treatment

Moderna and Merck have announced the first-ever successful Phase 3 trial of a personalized mRNA cancer therapy.
The treatment is designed individually for each patient. After a melanoma tumor is removed, scientists sequence its DNA, identify the unique mutations of that person's cancer, and create a custom mRNA therapy that trains the immune system to recognize and destroy any remaining cancer cells.
The trial showed that, the personalized therapy significantly:
• Reduced the risk of cancer returning.
• Reduced the risk of the cancer spreading to distant organs
Investors immediately recognized the significance of the breakthrough. Moderna's stock surged by 177%.
