✨ Welcome to CIS, Dr. Tom! ✨ We are delighted to welcome Dr. Thomas E. Simpson as our new Head of Secondary at Cambridge International School Tashkent! 💙 With an impressive 49 years in secondary education, Dr. Tom brings extensive experience as a science teacher, coach, Dean of Students and Principal. For the past 20 years, he has worked in international education across Egypt, Zambia and China. Throughout his leadership career, he has had the opportunity to help establish and lead new schools, including serving as a founding principal of a middle school in Shenzhen and a high school in Wuhan. Dr. Tom holds an Ed.D. in Educational Leadership and completed the Principal’s Academy at Harvard University. His approach to school leadership is grounded in drive, energy, dedication and a strong commitment to students and staff. Beyond education, Dr. Tom enjoys reading, walking, swimming and exploring new places. He also brings a passion for sport, having coached both football (soccer) and wrestling. Family is an important part of Dr. Tom’s life. His wife, Imee (May), and their three children are based in the Philippines, where his children are currently studying at universities. As we begin the 2026–27 academic year, we are excited to welcome Dr. Tom to our CIS community and look forward to the experience, energy and leadership he will bring to our Secondary School.
