A lot of smart people lack confidence because they’ve never stayed with anything long enough to become great at it.
They’re interested in everything, so choosing one thing feels like giving up ten others. Then once they finally choose, they get bored before the boring part has had enough time to turn into skill.
Eventually they start believing they have no real talent.
But talent may have never been the problem. They just keep leaving before competence has enough time to become confidence.
