Ride an Abra in Dubai for AED 1
For only 1 dirham, you can traverse Dubai Creek on traditional abra boats, which means «to cross» in Arabic, between the Bur Dubai and Deira neighborhoods. This ranks as one of the most affordable tourist experiences.
An abra can carry around 20 passengers, with the journey from one side to the other lasting about five minutes. Tickets can be bought at the station or directly from the abra captain.
The cost varies:
💥 1 dirham for a one-way journey on a traditional abra alongside other passengers
💥 AED 2 for a one-way trip in a more comfortable abra with air-conditioner
