#Common_Mistakes 🌹🌹💐💐🍃🍃🍂🍂💐💐🌹🌹 ❌I AM LOOKING FORWARD TO HEAR FROM YOU. ✍After the expression “look forward to,” always use a noun or the -ing form of the verb: ✅I am looking forward to hearing from you. ✅I am looking forward to our meeting. ✅I look forward to visiting your company. ✅I look forward to the visit. ❌WE WOULD LIKE TO REGRET THE DELAY IN SHIPPING. ✍“Regret” means you feel bad about something you did wrong, so you need to say either: ✅We regret the delay in shipping. ✅We would like to apologize for the delay in shipping. ❤️🌹🍃🌹☺️🙏 🆔 @Englishlanguageclub

#Conversations 🌹🌹💐💐🍃🍃🍂🍂🍃🍃💐💐🌹🌹 🌹Disagreeing 🌹Like interrupting, disagreeing can also be sensitive. When you’re disagreeing, it’s also a good idea to say “sorry” or “I’m afraid.” SORRY, I’M NOT WITH YOU ON THAT. ✍Saying “I’m not with you” feels more polite than “I disagree.” It’s more objective and less personal. I’M AFRAID I DISAGREE. ✍“I’m afraid” is another way of saying “I’m sorry.” Like “sorry,” it makes the disagreement softer. SORRY, BUT I THINK YOU’VE MISSED THE POINT. ✍Use this phrase when you want to tell someone that they haven’t completely understood what you mean. This can be a little direct, so make sure that you’re comfortable with the person who you’re talking to when you use it. ❤️🌹🍃🌹☺️🙏 🆔 @Englishlanguageclub

#Conversations 🌹🌹💐💐🍃🍃🍂🍂🍃🍃💐💐🌹🌹 🌹10 English Phrases For Changing Your Mind 🌹Everyday English Speaking Course #1 – I CHANGED MY MIND. This is the simplest way to say that in the past, you had one opinion or decision, but later you changed it. For example, “I was going to buy a car, but then I changed my mind and bought a motorcycle instead.” #2 – I’VE HAD A CHANGE OF HEART. A “change of heart” is different from “changing your mind.” A “change of heart” refers to changing your feelings, attitudes, or behavior – usually to be more positive. For example, “The boss told us we would have to work on the holiday, but then he had a change of heart and gave us the day off.” #3 – HANG ON A MINUTE / A SECOND. Use these phrases to tell the other person to wait. They are often used when you are debating a decision, and you need a little more time to think. #4 – ON SECOND THOUGHT… Use this phrase to introduce your final opinion or decision, which you believe is better: “Let’s go to the mall this afternoon.” “OK.” “On second thought… it’s probably going to be really crowded because it’s Friday. How about we go the movies instead?” #5 – ON/UPON REFLECTION… Use this phrase to say that you have given special thought/consideration to the decision before changing it. For example, “I was thinking of becoming an engineer, but upon reflection, I decided that teaching would be a better career choice for me.” #6 – AFTER FURTHER CONSIDERATION… This is a more formal phrase used to say that you have given additional consideration to the situation, and changed your opinion or plan. It can be used in business English: “We appreciate your taking the time to prepare the proposal, but after further consideration, we’ve decided not to continue this project.” #7 – HE CONVINCED/PERSUADED ME TO… Use this phrase when another person influenced your decision. For example, “I was planning on traveling to Mexico, but Dan convinced me to go to Costa Rica instead.” #8 – I’M NOT SURE WHAT I WAS THINKING WHEN I… Use this phrase to say that your previous decision/opinion was not logical. For example, “I’m sorry, I really don’t have the time to help organize the event. I don’t know what I was thinking when I said yes.” #9 – I DID A 180. The expression “do a 180” means to completely change your opinion or feelings – to the opposite position. For example, “I used to make fun of people who don’t eat meat, but after learning more about the subject, I did a 180 and I’m now a vegetarian myself.” #10 – SHE TENDS TO BE FICKLE. Describing a person as “fickle” means that the person is indecisive or changes their mind a lot. It’s a person who isn’t strong in their decisions. ❤️🌹🍃🌹☺️🙏 🆔 @Englishlanguageclub

#Common_Mistakes 🌹🌹💐💐🍃🍃🍂🍂🍃🍃💐💐🌹🌹 🌹Common English Verbs: HAVE 🌹Two Negative Forms Of The English Verb HAVE 🌹There are two ways to make the negative form of the verb HAVE or HAS: Don’t have / Doesn’t have Haven’t / Hasn’t ✍When “have” is the main verb (meaning possession), then the negative form is “don’t have / doesn’t have.” Positive: I have a car. Negative: I don’t have a car. Incorrect: I haven’t a car. Here’s an example with “has”: Positive: She has a dog. Negative: She doesn’t have a dog. Incorrect: She hasn’t a dog ✍When “have” is the auxiliary verb (like in the present perfect) then use “haven’t / hasn’t”: Correct: I haven’t finished my homework yet. Incorrect: I don’t have finished my homework yet. Correct: She hasn’t spoken to me for three weeks. Incorrect: She doesn’t have spoken to me for three weeks. HAVE And HAVE GOT ✍Either “have” or “have got” can be used when “have” is the main verb (in the case of possession): Do you have a pencil? Have you got a pencil? She has a lot of work to do this weekend. She’s got a lot of work to do this weekend. ✍These sentences are all correct. ✍Again, “have got” can only be used in the case of possession, when you own an object. You CAN’T use “have got” in expressions like “have breakfast” or “have fun,” because these are not objects that you possess: Correct: I have breakfast at 6 AM. Incorrect: I’ve got breakfast at 6 AM. Correct: I had fun at the party. Incorrect: I’d got fun at the party. ❤️🌹🍃🌹☺️🙏 🆔 @Englishlanguageclub

💐Phrases A Patient Might Say: “I HAVE A RASH ON MY ARM, AND IT’S VERY ITCHY.” A rash is a red, irritated area on the surface of your skin. If it’s itchy, it means you feel an annoying sensation that makes you want to scratch it with your nails. “I FEEL A SHARP PAIN WHEN I BEND MY KNEE.” A sharp pain is a strong, sudden pain. The opposite is a dull pain – a feeling that is weaker and more continuous. “MY STOMACH HURTS AND I’VE LOST MY APPETITE.” To describe the pain you’re feeling, you can say “My + [body part] hurts.” If you’ve lost your appetite, it means you have no desire to eat. “MY NECK IS STIFF AND SORE. I THINK I’VE PULLED A MUSCLE.” If a body part is stiff, it means that it has less ability to move than normal. The word sore means that it’s continuously painful, usually when you’ve used a muscle too much. We usually use “sore” for muscles and for a sore throat. To pull a muscle means to extend a muscle beyond the normal point, and injure it. “WHAT ARE MY OPTIONS FOR TREATMENT?” The word treatment refers to the methods for helping you get better from a health problem. Some diseases can be cured (completely eliminated from your body), and others cannot be cured, but their symptoms (signs and effects of the disease) can be treated (made better or more tolerable). “AM I GOING TO NEED SURGERY?” Surgery is when a doctor (called a surgeon) cuts open your body to make repairs on your insides. Surgery can also be called an operation. The verbs for the doctor doing this action are to operate or to perform surgery. We usually say that the patient has/had an operation or has/had surgery. “I’D LIKE TO GET A SECOND OPINION.” A second opinion is when you talk to a different doctor to see if he has a different opinion about your health problem or treatment options. “THAT’S A RELIEF!” You can say this when the doctor gives you some good news! A relief is something that makes you happy after you were worried about it. ❤️🌹🍃🌹☺️🙏 🆔 @Englishlanguageclub

#Conversation 🌹🌹💐💐🍃🍃🍂🍂🍃🍃💐💐🌹🌹 🌹15 English Phrases For The Doctor’s Office 🌹Everyday English Speaking Course Phrases A Doctor Might Say: “WE’LL NEED TO RUN SOME TESTS.” Tests are used to help diagnose (identify) the health problem. Some common tests are a blood test and a urine test. There are also scans such as an ultrasound (used for seeing internal organs; often used for pregnant women to see the baby) and X-rays (used for seeing the bones). “THE TRANSPLANT WAS A SUCCESS. THERE WERE NO COMPLICATIONS.” A transplant is when one person (the donor) gives an organ to another person (the recipient). Some transplants, such as a kidney transplant, can be done when the donor is still alive. Others, such as heart and lung transplants, are done when the donor has recently died. When the donation is of blood, it is called a transfusion. If there are complications during surgery, it means that things went wrong or unexpected things happened to make it more difficult. After a transplant, the recipient usually needs to take anti-rejection medication so that their body doesn’t reject the transplanted organ. “I’D LIKE TO KEEP YOU HERE OVERNIGHT FOR OBSERVATION.” The doctor will say this if it’s necessary for you to stay in the hospital for a little while, so that the doctors and nurses can observe you and make sure you are OK. They might use a machine to monitor your vital signs – observe the rhythm of your heartbeat and breathing. “WE HAVEN’T MADE A DIAGNOSIS YET, BUT WE’VE RULED OUT CANCER.” A diagnosis is the identification of the specific health problem. To rule out something means to eliminate it from consideration. “DOES IT HURT WHEN I PRESS HERE?” If you have pain in your body, the doctor might press (apply pressure) on different places and ask you if you feel any pain at that particular point. “I’M GOING TO PRESCRIBE YOU SOME ANTIBIOTICS.” Some medication requires a doctor’s prescription (official note with permission) for you to get it. Antibiotics are used to treat infections. “DO YOU HAVE ANY ALLERGIES?” If you have allergies, it means your body reacts badly to particular foods or medicines. You can respond to this question by saying “I’m allergic to…”
