Children's online safety is moving to the center of Europe's digital debate. Ireland is hosting an EU presidency conference bringing together more than 250 delegates from 24 member states, including 80 children and young people, to discuss issues such as age limits for social media and giving young people a stronger voice in policymaking. The event comes as the European Commission prepares to present proposals on children's access to social media after the summer, while Ireland continues to back EU-wide rules rather than national restrictions. When policies affect the next generation, it makes sense to let them join the conversation.
