La Bête by Bertrand Bonello
Something in between Marcel Proust’s À la recherche du temps perdu, a Victorian novel, and William Gibson’s cyberpunk tale from the 90s, The Beast is very, very slow at first, but it gains more and more as it goes. Punchy.
The role is not as memorable as France or La Vie d’Adèle, but Léa Seydoux sure rocks my cinema world (and I couldn’t care less about 007 films or Dune, eh).
