Berthold Center is one of the most atmospheric places in Saint-Petersburg 🍵
The center is located in the buildings of the former type foundry named after Hermann Berthold. The factory created typographic fonts for hand typing. All five constructions were bought for the creative center. There are two buildings from the front and three in the courtyard.
The center is quite big about 6 thousand square meters. There are a lot of cafes, shops, and bars. All of them are representatives of small businesses and they were opened mostly by locals. Besides cafes and bars, there is a mini studio of chocolate making “Chocorus”. There you can apply for a master class and get your own handmade chocolate bar or candy.
There is also a studio of performing art “Sdvig”, vintage shop from Scandinavia “FjordCloth”, Art gallery, design bureau and even the 4 stars hotel «Gutenberg Hotel». As a bonus on the top, there is a roof with a fabulous view of the city center absolutely for free.
