I built a voice typing app and need Mac users to tell me what’s wrong with it Giveaway: 3 months free
I'm Ozan, the developer of LipType.
Problem
I wanted voice typing that works anywhere on my Mac without opening a separate editor or copying text between apps. With LipType, you hold the Fn key, speak, release it, and the text appears where your cursor is.
Comparison
Apps like Wispr Flow and Superwhisper already do voice dictation well. LipType's approach is deliberately simple: system-wide dictation, task and notes support, and voice commands. It also has a Windows version. And we aim to keep the pricing as low as possible.
I know people here have tried most apps in this category, so I would genuinely like to hear where LipType is worse, not just where it is better.
Pricing
The free plan includes 2,000 words per week. Pro is $8 per month or $76.80 per year. The free plan does not require a credit card.
I'm having a hard time getting the first users, so I'd like to give three months of Pro to the first 10 people who are willing to use it during normal work for a week and tell me what is annoying, confusing, or missing.
You do not need to leave a review or say anything positive. Honest criticism is what I need.
