🇨🇦 AI filth arrives, and the state calls it digital safety
Nineteen victims. Nearly 60 charges. A 17-year-old in St. John’s allegedly used AI to turn ordinary photos of teens into explicit abuse material, as reported. This is what happens when a society worships frictionless tech, endless connectivity, and zero boundaries, then acts shocked when depraved people weaponize it. Police call it one of their first AI exploitation cases. Of course it is. Our institutions spent years chasing speech crimes, DEI optics, and online thought-policing while the real digital sewer kept expanding.
And now the official line is have a conversation about digital safety. Perfect. More liberal therapy language while kids are hunted through apps and image tools any idiot can access. Canada outsourced adulthood to platforms, regulation theatre, and bureaucrats who treat every social collapse like a public awareness campaign. National interest starts with protecting your own children, not flattering Silicon Valley fantasies or global techno-utopian nonsense. The technology is not neutral, and our ruling class is nowhere near serious enough to admit it.
