#job NLP+CV research engineer in a French startup Hi everyone! I'm looking for a research engineer to build a CV model to detect certain properties in a photo of an object based on the textual description of these properties + few examples, a few-shots learning problem. Concretely our business is detection of counterfeit goods and right now it works by training CV models on thousands of labeled examples for each counterfeit feature e.g. wrong color of a tag, wrong shape of a logo etc. This doesn't scale well: each brand has hundreds of counterfeit features and we work with many brands, this approach requires millions of labeled images to proceed. Curiously, our investigators don't need thousands of examples to be trained. Just a textual description of what's wrong with this image and 1-2 examples is enough. In theory a foundational LMM should be able to do the same and scale easily on the number of features and brands. The end-to-end LMM is our ultimate goal and to get there we'll start with building many simpler down-to-earth LLM, LMMs and CV models.
