Retailers begin to raise prices before the old stock is even sold out. This happens due to the need to finance future purchases: the business understands that in 3 months, purchasing a new batch will cost more, and begins to accumulate liquidity in advance.
This is not greed, but working capital management in volatile conditions. If prices aren't raised now, in six months the company may simply not have the money to purchase goods for the next cycle.
Understanding this logic will stop you from waiting for "old prices" after currency fluctuations begin. They won't come back.
