On the eve of the 25th anniversary of 9/11, former President George W. Bush visited FDNY Ladder Company 3—the firehouse whose badly damaged rig never returned to service and is now preserved at the 9/11 Memorial & Museum.
Bush spoke with members about the aftermath of the attacks, his Ground Zero bullhorn speech, his first pitch at Yankee Stadium, and those who united when the city and nation needed them most.
