A baby fossa is an adorable little mammal native to Madagascar, often mistaken for a mix between a cat and a mongoose, though it actually belongs to a family of its own. Born tiny and blind, fossa pups rely completely on their mother for warmth, food, and protection. As they grow, their playful curiosity helps them develop essential survival skills. Over time, they become agile, tree-climbing hunters, capable of chasing down lemurs and other prey with impressive speed and stealth. From helpless newborns to Madagascar’s top predators, fossa grow up wild, fearless, and ready for life in the forest.
