Bursa Malaysia's IPO market remained resilient in 1H2026, with 36 new listings raising RM5.38 billion, up 12.5% and 35.7% year-on-year respectively. While Consumer Products & Services and Industrial Products & Services accounted for nearly two-thirds of listings, investor interest increasingly centred on AI, semiconductor and digital infrastructure themes. Demand extended beyond technology companies to engineering, power, cleanroom and enterprise IT businesses supporting Malaysia's digital expansion. The trend was reflected in aftermarket performance, with Industrial Products & Services and Technology IPOs accounting for most gainers. Overall, IPOs delivered an average return of 41.9%, significantly outperforming the FBM KLCI's 0.96% decline over the same period.
