From 15 June, BLS visa centres in Russia no longer accept applications for a visa to the Republic of Cyprus. The reason is the end of the contract with the external operator.
Until a new operator is connected, documents are being accepted directly at Cyprus consular offices: in Moscow, Saint Petersburg, Yekaterinburg and Krasnodar.
Because of this, the workload has expectedly increased. One of our subscribers said that today he arrived at the embassy at 8 am - and was already roughly 300th in the queue.
If your trip is not in the next few days, it may be worth holding off on applying. Right now there are many people in the queue whose flights are in the next day or two - they need the processing first. The rush only creates an additional burden. The best time to apply is about 2.5–3 weeks before departure - this is enough time for processing, and you do not create an extra queue at the very peak.
