Been thinking about my left arm tattoo. It says ”Pro Wrestling is real… people are fake”.
I ended, an almost 20 year old friendship with someone recently, because it got to to the point of me pretending to like him. I had to wear a mask to fit in and after my diagnose… man, that shit is gonna end.
”…People are fake”.
Yeah, we all are to a degree. It’s why I fucking hate censoring myself for others! ”You can’t say those words” is an example that drives me insane!
But I digress!
In watching AEW this weekend, I got reminded why I love and live for pro wrestling as much as I do. The storylines, the moments, the matches! It rewards me for paying attention! It rewards me for spending years watching it! It rewards my fandom and love. This past show made me scream, get angry, get happy, get surprised and yes, made me emotional! Goddamn man it’s like nothing on this planet. It’s as real as ANY moment in my life!
”Wrestling is real”
It’s the one common interest I have with my dad. The man that introduced it to me. For giving me my biggest passion.
It doesn’t get more ”real” than that.
I fucking love pro-wrestling ❤️
