Over 1,000 doctors and nurses gathered at Burjeel Medical City in Abu Dhabi and spent nearly 20 hours creating an Onam Pookalam—a giant floral carpet. This is a key element of the Onam festival, a harvest and cultural celebration from the Indian state of Kerala; this year, it falls in late August.
The floral carpet features a portrait of the UAE President, as well as camels and trains, symbolizing transformation.
