Evgenii Tiapkin, Executive Director of Freedom24 presented the company’s European strategy during Freedom Inside ‘26. Portugal’s Jornal Económico outlines one of the main points of Evgenii’s presentation: Freedom24 continues expansion across the EU, with Portugal identified as one of the key growth markets for the coming years.
“We continue to strengthen our presence in new markets, including Portugal, while developing our operations in Romania and the Czech Republic. Freedom24 already operates in all EU countries and has 10 offices in key markets, with Portugal, Romania, and the Czech Republic identified as key growth markets for the period 2026–2027,” he said. 📈
Evgenii also detailed plans to deepen integration into European capital markets by joining major stock exchanges and strengthening infrastructure. “Developing our clearing and quoting infrastructure is a fundamental priority for us, as we aim to make market access as direct, resilient, and efficient as possible. In addition to the Athens Stock Exchange, we intend to become members of several major trading platforms, including Euronext, the Frankfurt Stock Exchange, and the Stuttgart Stock Exchange. This will mean deeper integration into the European market and greater independence for our brokerage platform,” he added. 🚀
The company is also exploring expansion into banking services in France, supported by the French government. “Banks are a natural complement to an investment platform and make our global offering to clients more comprehensive. To support this ambition, we are currently actively exploring the possibility of obtaining a banking license in France,” Evgenii noted, highlighting the company’s long-term focus on strengthening its presence in Europe and expanding its offering. 🇪🇺
