As Greece moves beyond its post crisis recovery and into a more mature growth phase, investors are shifting their focus from macro stabilization to business quality and sustainable profitability. George Karageorgos, Head of Freedom24 Greece, shared his view on how the country’s small and mid cap segment is evolving and why it is becoming increasingly attractive for structured investment ideas in the run up to 2026. 📈
Oninvest, an investment analytics and news platform, highlights that Greece’s economy is expected to grow by 2.2% in 2026, supported by investment flows from the EU Recovery and Resilience Facility. These funds are driving digitalization, infrastructure, energy projects, and public sector modernization, creating favorable conditions for private companies that can convert demand into cash flow and expand without sacrificing margins. ⚡️
Within this context, George Karageorgos outlined four industries with the strongest structural growth potential. These include IT, cloud technologies, managed services, fintech, data analytics, and insurance. He also pointed to five Greek small cap companies with growth prospects this year: Real Consulting, Profile Systems, Qualco Group, Performance Technologies, and Evropi Holdings, each positioned to benefit from long-term demand, recurring revenues, and consolidation trends in their respective markets.
