Cathedral in Kaliningrad has the largest organ complex in Russia and the best acoustic system in Europe 📯
The Kaliningrad Cathedral (Konigsberg Cathedral) was built in 1380. Later there was installed the first wind organ in the concert hall. And in a while, it was added the second largest organ in Europe. In 2007 the unified organ complex of the Cathedral sounded for the first time and it was considered as the largest organ complex in Europe since.
The single organ complex is impressive: 6301 pipes for the Large organ and 2224 pipes for the small one. The two organs can sound both separately and together, they are interconnected.
The acoustic system, which has no analogs in Russia and Europe, was installed in the concert hall of the historic Cathedral in Kaliningrad. The system allows the sound of any instrument or voice to be directed right to the listener immediately.
