Kosichka or Pletenka was inherited by Soviet bakers from the pre-revolutionary assortment of “bakery products”.
It became popular in Russia at the end of the 19th century, and they came to the Russian table directly from the traditional Jewish Saturday table.
Pletenka or a wicked bread is excellent baked goods. To eat it with soup or spreed it with butter and eat with tea. The fresh bread is extremely soft and fragrant. Here is the original recipe.
