Scientists Discover Ancient “Smiley Face” on Mars 🌌😊
Using the ExoMars Trace Gas Orbiter, astronomers have spotted a glowing “smiley face” on the Martian surface — likely the remains of an ancient lake that dried up billions of years ago 🌍💫.
The “eyes” are meteorite craters, while the “smile” forms from a ring of chloride salt deposits. Researchers cataloged 965 similar deposits across Mars, some up to 3 km wide — potential clues to where life might once have existed. 🧑🔬🔬
