Gummysearch Reddit analysis fails in practice
The tool says it parses Reddit and delivers ready‑made audience research. In reality the sample is far too thin.
• Claims: parses Reddit, finds groups, lists hot pains.
• Idea sounds great but data is insufficient.
• Example: startup founders post about co‑founders, store closures, personal projects.
• Real pains: acquiring customers, financing, team fit.
• Sample calc: 10% of founders on Reddit, 2‑3% comment → 0.2% usable data.
• Such tiny sample cannot yield reliable insights.
• Same issue for reviews, CDD, networking, acquaintances.
• Real insight requires buying cold leads, interviewing, spotting patterns.
• Everything else is just guesswork for the humanities.
