• Short videos kill focus and hinder learning. They create an addiction to quick hits of dopamine, making all other activities feel boring. The proof?
• A study on PubMed shows that the higher the consumption, the higher the levels of procrastination and boredom. I have seen hundreds of teenagers spending 8+ hours a day on these apps.
• Some appear unhealthy during face-to-face meetings. These platforms are like the radium in 20th-century toothpaste—they seemed safe at the time but had dangerous consequences. In the future, we may see serious mental health issues emerge.
• While research is currently limited, caution is vital. We must limit screen time. Let children be bored—it is essential for their development.
