The VRS held its Annual Board of Trustees meeting last week. On the speaker list was General David Petraeus, notorious commander of forever wars in the Middle East. Thousands have called on the VRS Board of Trustees to divest from weapons manufacturers, not to deepen its ties with the military-industrial complex. This invitation comes in the midst of yet another an escalating endless war in the Middle East. We refuse to stand by as the ruling elite attempt to repeat the playbook of the early 2000s. We reject our pensions and tax dollars being used to beat the drums of war. Join the arms embargo. vrsdivest.org
