Data Engineer
Company: BCB Group
BCB Group is a regulated provider of payment and trading services in crypto and fiat for the digital asset economy. They offer accounts, crypto and FX market liquidity, instant payments via their BLINC network, and are authorised in the UK, France and Switzerland.
Responsibilities:
- Integrate multiple data sources into the cloud data warehouse and maintain data consistency and integrity
- Design and implement robust ETL processes for ingestion, transformation and loading
- Develop and maintain data models, dashboards and visualisations
- Automate business workflows using no-code/low-code tools in partnership with business teams
- Collaborate with stakeholders to translate requirements, respond to data queries and deliver reports
- Prepare regulatory reports and ensure compliance with data regulations
- Implement and enforce data quality standards and testing practices
Requirements:
- 3+ years in a data-related role
- Advanced proficiency in SQL
- Advanced proficiency in Google Sheets or Excel
- Strong understanding of ETL processes and experience with data ingestion, transformation and dashboard creation
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to data quality
- Strong business acumen and ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
Nice to have:
- Experience with dbt and data modelling tools
- Experience with Looker, Thoughtspot or similar BI platforms
- Familiarity with no-code/low-code tools (e.g., n8n)
- Proficiency with version control (git) and programming (Python, R or TypeScript)
- Experience in Payments, FinTech, Banking or Cryptocurrency industries
- Familiarity with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and statistical concepts
- Relevant degree (Computer Science, Business, Economics, Statistics)
